Mother wants to go to The Circus of Horrors *squiffy face* I don't think I could do it, bendy people freak me out xD

I amaze myself sometimes when I look at lists like these and see Opera right after Slipknot hahahaha

Okay so Fall Out Boy have been rather cryptic, not that it's anything new of course, and now their site takes you to their FOE page where you can download some mixtape of some sorts, but HEY all those quotes from the CFOB webpage are now recorded by people you can click and listen huzzah, meh.

Evidently I think its safe to say there is a new album out 3 &4th November, either that or since there is stuff about wanting to watch fans on stage they are going to be able to access everyone's webcams and spy on us all, I can just see creepy Wentz being all OH HAI FOB FANZ EYE SEA YOO! when it happens, so be afraid be very afraid and do NOT TRUST IN THE TECHNOLOGY OF INTERNET LAND until all is safe.

But seriously a huge massive epic puzzle, which if I'm not mistaken smells rather similar to the whole Panic! At The Disco (FIGHT THE POWER USE THE EXCLAMATION POINT!) clue thing with the myspace and crypticness, judging by the photo of teh FOBz they are giving us something new - can I just point out now that Joe's hair is possibly THE MOST epic and most amazing thing about the entire photo, aside of course, from Mr. Patrick reminding me of Sylvester McCoy when he played Dr Who back in the late 80's early 90's (Sylvester McCoy ftw!)

Is anyone else thinking that this whole marketing strategy is either going to lead to something that will either fully win or epically fail, much like the whole P!ATD thing with Pretty. Odd.?

Still I have no intention of buying a ticket for one of the 3 arena shows here, mostly because I can't afford to travel and stay over night and because I don't want to go to see them in an arena, it won't be nice for me, had they played Newcastle I would have gladly gone *nods* but again they didn't give us a thought (yes I still go on about that) SLIPKNOT HERE I COME! WOOT hahah

Anyway, is this the new fangled way of creating buzz about forthcoming music releases? Surely not! Say it isn't so? I mean its good and all but really, if there are people there who are fans, the excitement and prospect of new material should be enough without the need for all this nonsensical tomfoolery right?

I mean you don't see Green Day doing things like this do you? No. They just create another side project, realse an albumusing said side project, play a few shows, disappear for another year and then come back with a new album all neatly packaged and tied with a little red bow TAADAA

I sense the rabid FOB fans are going to eat me so I shall bring out the condiments for your delectation

I'm a few days late probably BUT I care not

30 Seconds To Mars didn't disappoint with the bringing of the lulz in the interviews - seriously their interviews are like THE best thing ever xD even though sometimes I find Jared sounds like he's reading a sheet of paper hahaah OH and Alex Zane and Shannon holding hands is quite funny hahaha

Slipknot are most awesome - they're quietly funny and I'm now compelled to go see them when they play the arena here; yes we get Slipknot - stick that in your toaster and burn it fall out boy and other fbr/decaydance bands *nods*

MSI didn't win *sad face* but Lyn-Z was according to her on the 3rd day of wearing her outfit, but she found it comfy, nice to know hahaha.

Random finding of Keanu films brings the happy's - Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey = overflowing with WIN and lulz, it gets funnier each time I watch it hahaha.
Arachnophobia is on tv on Monday night, but the channel it is on I don't have and that makes me sad because as much as I am scared of spiders I LOVE that movie, that one and Kingdom of Spiders they're both great =D but yeah, I can't watch it.

Essay writing all day tomorrow yay not.

Umm yeah, I'm discovering my love for Brian Eno and Meredith Monk - random noises to make music orly? Its great.

The house in the garden that has its own fenced off garden area. Inside there is a table and a sideboard unit and the table is set with a mini tea set ready for the gnomes and elves to have their supper. [If you didn't already realise my mum is strange - my granda built this for her haha] Oh and I missed it in the photo but the chimney has a smiley face on it

She was the most docile thing ever, she was big though half way up past my knee was where her head was at when she was standing beside you. She was stupid, she walked into walls a few times because she didn't look where she was going, she forgot to jump when she ran to the settee and smacked her head off the wooden thing on the side of it. She would eat apples, pears, plums, nectarines with small nibbles/little bites, she would eat sausage rolls and her chocolate bars the same way - she was a fan of milky ways and milky bars. She would get bought a 99 cone from the ice cream van with red sauce and a flake while we weren't allowed one. She hated brussell sprouts. She would go in the huff with you and not speak to you for a while. She would lie with the rabbit on the settee, she would attempt to sit on your kneecaps if you sat on the floor which she was too heavy to do, she'd jump on your head in the morning. She once got out of the garden and we looked everywhere for her only to walk down the street and find her walking back to the house from the field after taking herself for a walk. She would eat your sweets, and scared everyone, but she was the soppiest thing. Best dog ever.

I've a number of rants brewing, this one I deem the most vital.

What the hell is with the sudden Jonas Brothers explosion?

I mean can someone explain it to me please?

I just don't get it, at all. The fact that they seem to be everywhere is quite unsettling mostly because I find them irritating and really not that great, I've seen them perform their songs live - granted on TV not live because lets face it the only real reson I'd see them live was if they happened to unfortunately be a support act for a band I really wanted to see, and even then I'd complain like a whiny bitch - but they can't even freaking sing.

Seriously, is the whole world deaf? They're whiny, and quite tone-deaf and the only real reason people think they are the shit is the fact that OH HAI DISNEY! It's ridiculous.

I can honestly say they are one of the worst things to happen this century, granted I watched Paul O'Grady just to laugh at them eating all the traditional British food like Haggis and black pudding hahaha.

And I've found that people who are fans of them [lord help us] are ridiculous as well, if you turn around and say that they are rubbish people go OMG YOU JUST DONT UNDERSTAND!!!

I understand quite well - you people have wax build up I reccommend cotton buds to clear the blockage.
They are not in anyway quailty musicians hell they can't even be guilty pleasure music.

Anyone who covers songs by the British band Busted and changes the lyrics from "Triple breasted women swim around town totaly naked" to " And girls there with round hair like Starwars, Float above the floor" does not deserve to be recognised as music, I mean what the hell? There is nothing wrong with the original line - OH but wait good Disney boys like them wouldn't dare sing about boobs and nekkidness would they?

And don't even get me started on how they changed the lyrics to "What I Got To School For" from being about being in love with a teacher to talking about girls in their class - I mean good lord again nothing remotely wrong or sinful about those lyrics they way they were, but the Jonas Brothers just had to go and ruin the songs.

Other songs they have ruined -

Take On Me by A-ha, covered most awesomely by a1: they can't even sing the right lyrics in the correct tune - it isn't that difficult of a concept, the song is piss easy to sing AND they EPICALLY FAIL at the high note on the chorus

Various mangled Disney classics - LEAVE THE DISNEY CLASSIC SONGS ALONE!

Its frustrating because people will tell you that they are amazing - and it's not true, they are average at best, Busted did this 6 years ago, Mcfly are still doing it and you know what they do it the best.

To top it off the Jonas Brothers aren't even attractive - oh yes I did say it. I'm sorry but no, just no. Add to that the fact they're averaging 12 and its insane, granted the oldest is supposed to be like 20 but not singing original song lines of songs they've covered because they don't sing about fancying teachers or nakedness is stupid and something I cannot take seriously, Disney act or not.

People please for the love of all my sanity stop with the liking of the JB's, there is nothing great about them, if you want something similar look to the likes of like I said before Busted, Mcfly, Son Of Dork - the bands who did this whole thing first AND who have no problems with blatant references to body parts.

I imagine people will tell me how wrong I am about this band, but seriously nothing anyone can say can make me take them seriously or like them, because for real have you heard them?

In closing let me say that if you like them yay, but don't expect other people to, if you want to try and change my opinion, well it would be a waste of time because I refuse now to even look at them or anything unless it lets me laugh at them like watching them almost throw up eating the food on TV that time hehehehe

But yeah seriously JB *shakes head* give it up...

I'm feeling a little like this right now... Essays I'm struggling to write the fact I need to find a dentist to pay £45 to get half a tooth yanked out Thinking about how much it's going to cost me to get a bridge put in its place eventually. Thinking about university this year and how I'm probably going to fail hahaha But its all good, I'm going to be my normal self If its one thing I hate its being sad It makes me miserable xD Other than that I've found myself drinking more tea - I had 3 cups in a row the other day, I'm going to make myself another in the next ad-break

Okay so my music channels on freeview are working now huzzah!

They used to cut out, so I'm watching and I see the NKOTB video for 'Summertime' for the first time and I am in heart with them again

They NEED to announce tour dates in the next 2 month - preferably when I have moneys to buy tickets because hello Jordan Knight anyone

and HELLO dancing? *swooon* I died and went to a happy place - they were reminiscent of BSB in the 'I want it that way' video, with the dancing and the white suits *squee*

My 80's child is starting to reappear (sorry 90's kids but you will never know the glorious ways of the 80's)
I wish I knew where my I love the 80's album went *sigh* it had some amazing songs on there

Anyway aside from that - and I really don't give a damn if you think NKOTB are crap and shouldn't have reunited - if you do you do not know good music when it slaps you in the face, shouts in your ears, pokes you in the eye balls and steals your chocolate bar - suck on the NKOTB haterzzzzzzzzz xD

ANYWAY...

I'm discovering that a lot of music is starting to get decent, gone is the over excess of R&B and dance and in is more poppy happy sounds, you know music you can make dance routines too, granted its not like the days of Boyzone, Take That, a1, Backstreet Boys, you know the bands of the 90's and early 2000, but at least its more diverse.

Right now I'm loving "I Decided" by Solange Knowles, its a great tune, also "World Should Revolve Around Me" by Little Jackie - amazing is one word I would use

Now a band I really like right now is Alphabeat, they are poppy and happy and its great =D

So I don't know if I should cry or rejoyce - I think wimper or maybe sigh and pout

So I'm sitting eating my dinner and I'm chewing the last bit and I'm like WTF is that? Because there was something hard and I get it and have a look

MY TOOTH HAS ONLY SNAPPED OFF!!

Its the one they did the dodgy root canal on, where they shoved the filling in, I knew it would happen eventually because I could feel it splitting, so yeah a third of it has come off, and its the front part as well *grumbles*

So now I have to go and find a dentist to register too because I refuse to go back to the one I used to go to and then I'm going to cry because the dentist scares the shit out of me

in the semi-literal sense

Today I bought a new/old camera - its a Kodak Duaflex II and it's a case of waiting for it to arrive when I pay for it on Monday *does a wee jig*, weirdly its going to be one of those "special" cameras since teh 620 film is proving a wee bit hard to find - I can get a 120 and respool it onto an empty 620 spool but I need a spool, although I have found an interesting way of using a 35mm film in the camera *nods* not too shabby if I do say so myself

So yes exciting!!! I get to play with a vintage camera!!!! =D

It was produced in the 1950's - the latter half if I remember rightly eeeep I'm so going to use it when I can

AND it was a bargainous £6 including postage [or about $4 if you want the USA monies] - I love ebayyyyy =D
its where I got my last camera from my OM-10 hehehe which I need to buy more film for and print the manual out because I would like to figure out how to work it without the garish flash gun, obviously the apature/some sort of function is on the wrong setting bleh.

So yes although it has to be said my sister has half-inched my other cameras that my Granda got for me at the auctions randomly and she claims they're hers but mother knows they're mine mwaahahaha so I expect those to be given back to me, and when they are I guess a camera group photo is in order, which will include:

1x35mm compact
1x APS compact
3x digital compact
1x shoddy DSLR (evil thing)
1xSLR (om-10)
1xduaflex II (when i get it)
1x some other funky 70s/80s kick back which i need to investigate

OH and I have my eyeballs on a dslr - i'm torn between 2
a canon or a nikon (but isnt everyone) strictly for the reason i need a decent dslr, i dont care about extra lenses i just need one that can take decent photos and not just decent macros =/

So 2 essays huzzah its that time again!

The one I'm not looking forward to doing is the Media Studies 2000 word epic where I have to critically assess 2 concepts from a list of 7 that they've listed and illustrate my argement with reference to independant critical reading as well as recent examples from news media - fun isn't it?

The film studies one I'm quite happy to do. I'm choosing to discuss how Planet of the Apes deals with racial conflict [the original POTA] - I really wanted to incorporate more about that when I tackled the film in the 2nd essay I wrote about it being as much about 1960's America as it is the future.
The only real downside/distraction about choosing Planet of the Apes both this time AND the first time is that for the next 2 weeks I'll be singing 'Planet of the Apes' by Mindless Self Indulgence to myself - I kid you not, it's already started hahaha.

Anyway yeah I've decided its strange because I'm singing MSI in my head and I'm listening to NKOTB and Joey Lawrence - for those who don't know who either of them are; shame on you xD Joke, joke, they're artists from the late 80's and early 90's. NKOTB were a huge boy band and Joey Lawrence was and actor and singer - most known for being in Blossom, but then he moved on to Disney's show called Brotherly Love *swoon*

So yeah, I've come to the conclusion that they just don't make music like they used to, I mean classic hits - Prince Charming by Adam and the Ants, Rock Me Amedeus by Falco, JOey Lawrence, NKOTB - hell even Kylie doesn't make songs like she used to, I dislike her stuff now, her stuf in the beginning was amazing - Locomotion, I should Be So Lucky, J'nais cest pas pouqais - love it. Mow its all trendy dance nonsence, like Madonna, not cool guys but kudos to them hahaha.

Evidently it will be interesting to see how much a mix of MSI and NKOTB will help my essay writing.
OH and don't forget The Monkees - those guys are amazing, if it were possible I'd happily go see them perform again.

Anyone else looking forward to when NKOTB announce their tour dates?

because i spent about 10 hours burning files to 2 cds last night yes 2 cds

i've just spent almost an hour and a half burning files to one cd this morning and i've got tons more to take off my computer.

Anyway, I missed Numb3rs and House last night - fail
and CSI: Miami's first episode of the new series was lacking - fail hopefully it will pick up again tonight

ANywho, so Russell Brand is presenting this years VMA's

*note to show organisers* You picked the LEAST funny person on the planet why?

Sorry Russell fans but his humour is to be desired, its a taste thing I'm sure. He has this obscure wit [apparently] and it does not help that he's British, and most people don't get the British humour anyway [remember Wence on the Nokia Green Room hoho hehe haha], so mix the British houmour with his lame comedy and the VMA's is either going to epically fail or there will be small chuckles.

I gather he will either go down a storm with the audience on the night or someone will be offended - ho hum

Remember the EPIC failure that was his presenting at The Brit awards that year, dear lord, has no one shown that VT to the organisers of the VMA's?
Just because he was in a film and a large percentage of the British population find him funny doesn't make him prime pickings to front another award show *shakes head*

The proof is in the pudding so the saying goes, so I'll reserve maybe a pinch of judgement on the issue, but I still maintain he will fail.

If you want comedy from a British comedien, then there's a ton more who are hugely more funny than Brand - Bill Bailey, Frankie Boyle to name a few, hell stir things up get Rory Bremner to present, he could mimic a mass of celebs, not only would it be fun, it would make you laugh as he spoofs them *nods*

Hell even Ross Noble is funnier than Brand AND he has the hair hehehe

Okay so I ranted about FOB not playing here EVER, and the fact that Cobra Starship, TAI and GCH are not playing here on their tours, now I shall go on to say that now even ELLIOT MINOR are not playing here on their next tour, now when that happens I fear for things, yea I really do, out of a bazillion tour dates on the next tour Elliot Minor are not playing here - weird, but okay, I can deal.
I can deal with Chris cancelling his speaking here due to FOB
Hell right now I shall forgive Enter Shikari for skipping out on us, its understandable

We've been privvy to the tour every year, last year the line up was amazing AND THIS YEAR YOU SKIP US?
